Cool stool. This sitting contraption made its rounds on the internets yesterday. We think we spotted it on at least a dozen sites after seeing it on Design Sponge who appears to have found it first. The idea is kinda smart. You adjust the height by turning the top up or down. If you screw it off completely, you get an extra storage compartment. Design by French Ghaade. What The King has to do with it, we do not know but US chain Target has named it El-Vis. The thing is USD 79:99 (ca SEK 615:-). Target’s Red Hot Shop. Via Design Sponge.

A chair named Lümmel. German designers Defacto design has created this cool chair they call Lümmel. Our command of German is not good enough to know wether the German word "lümmel" means what a Swede would be quick to assume, but the chair is nice enough for us to forget to be bothered. The Lümmel is made of vulcanised furniture foam atop a wooden framework, and topped with a polyester cover. Available at Swedish shop PID for SEK 2.400:- (approx. USD 300:-).

Would you leave this bike stand outside?
We think this bike stand is among the nicest we have ever seen, maybe the prettiest in all the land It is elegant without fuzz, just the way we like it, baby. From Excel, always those Danes. It would look perfect with that cool Danish bike. But at a price of 3.400:- (USD 425:-) we will be hesitant to put it out in the driveway. It will go inside the entrance, instead, and that leaves us wanting something like a large NY loft. Available at PID if you have the space.

Do it on the floor. The rug and pillow combo in wool. Cosy. For all who prefer to do it on the floor. Design by Nani Marquina, Barcelona. For our new readers we can suggest another nice rug/pillow combo we found a while back by Kristian Gavoile for French Ligne Roset. Via MoCo Loco.

Smart tough case for the Mac. it is called the MacTruck from RadTech. It is like the Hummer of computer cases. It is available in custom made sizes made to fit 12", 15" and 17" iBooks and PowerBooks and it is made from fat 3.2 mm (about 0.1") aluminium and is supposed to stand beeing run over by your equally fat SUV. It does also have a smart top, that allows you to work on your Mac without taking it out of the case. The bottom part has cut-outs to let you get to all the ports. From USD 199:99. Via Egon's Blog.
