Spring show at the College of Arts, Crafts and Design. We were actually very impressed with last year's show at the CAC&D, and we were looking forward to an equally uplifting experience this year. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We think last year's bunch were a little sharper than this year's. But never mind, we're here to focus on the stuff we liked, and not to write a review of the whole thing. So here goes:
..
Bold, flowing patterns. Our favourite part of this year's show was the textile prints and fabric patterns department. Here's were we found the most fun ideas and confident expression. Like Anna Lundin, whose bold patterns (above) really must be seen live. The resolution on the web really can't do them justice. Mail to Anna here.

Fancy wearing a work of art? One of the most striking works were these dresses by Hege Edvardsen. Printing collages onto simple sleeveless cotton dresses made them into works of art. Hege and her dresses also made the papers in a big way. Hege's website here with plenty of other works.

Dish towel tie. Bon appétit! This will save you looking for your napkin. Och mulling over wether to really wipe your glasses on your tie (a definite no-no). And besides, spilling food on your tie won't be such a disaster anymore. 80% linen, 20% cotton. From those wonderfully crazy people at Atypyk at EUR 31:- (about USD 28:-).

The Snail magazine holder. Nice. But that's all we know, since the post on Zakkaz is in Japanese. But still. Nice.
